Why are some hybrid cars classified as electric cars and some as gasoline cars?

We base it on China’s definition standards. In China, only those with a pure electric cruising range of 60KM or more are defined as electric vehicles and get the electric vehicle license plate. Therefore, hybrid vehicles with a pure electric range of less than 60KM are classified as gasoline vehicles.
